A workshop demonstrating different batik techniques using wax, crayon, and other resist
mediums on fabric. Create images and designs on fabric large or small scale.

Experimental Textiles Thursday 14 June 10:00-1:00
Embellishment with beads, thread, paint, buttons, and fabric.
This is a workshop where we try a little of everything. Fabric painting, embroidery,
machine embellishment, beading and ribbon are used to experiment with texture and
colour to create a unique piece which then can be made into a brooch, cushion or picture.

Pottery painting Thursday 20 September 10:00-1:00
In this workshops an array of decorating processes are demonstrated for painting on
pottery using, pencils, underglaze, stains, glaze and resist techniques. Participants are
given the basics of glazing and firing and the resources to proceed on their own.
Included in the cost in the decorating of three pieces of pottery. Additional pieces may be
purchased for a small fee.

Wire jewellery artist Su Warner is running this one. Su is an accomplished artist and is a
genius with creating one of a kind pieces with wire and semi-precious beads. Each
student will have an opportunity to create several pieces.

Soap making/Bath products - scrubs, lip balm, and moisturizer Thursday, 22 November 10:00-1:00
Making your own bath products in this very fragrant workshop. Learn how to mix scrubs,
moisturizers and soaps. Making bath products in your favourite colours and fragrance is a
very gratifying experience. Soaps and bath bombs can be made in a variety of colours,
and shapes. They can also include a variety of ingredients such as moisturising butters
and oils, as well as botanicals, citrus and glitter. The combinations of scent, colour and
shapes are endless and the finished product can be tailor made for you or as a
personalized gift.
