Artist Statement |

Simon Janvrin has been taking photographs since his early teens (he
has just found his first camera in a rather sorry state at the back of
a cupboard). During a career as a surgeon, aviation medicine
specialist and airline pilot, he has developed and printed photographs
in some unlikely places. He has now retired from medicine, but works
as a part time flying instructor (specialising in aerobatics). He
finds the digital processing of photographs to be a considerable
advance on splashing around with chemicals in blacked out
cubby-holes.
His dogs wake very early, and many of his photographs are taken during
their morning walks in the Sussex countryside.
