Since completing a Foundation in Art & Design at City College, Brighton in 2008, Karen's focus has moved towards abstraction expressed through mixed media and printmaking, taking  inspiration from natural form.

Inspiration for ‘The Ice Series’ came from a study of water in its frozen state and icicles in particular. Karen was captivated by the beauty of ice and intrigued by the concept of ice as a medium for trapping a moment in time.  The end result is a body of work made from study and experimentation with ice using a variety of materials.
