I was born and brought up in Lymington, Hampshire and have a real love for the sea.  I now live in West Sussex.  I have always enjoyed drawing and painting from an early age but began painting more in the last five years.  I originally painted more using water colours but in the last two years I have experimented more in Oils using a palette knife and now have begun to use both brush and palette knife to get the desired effect that I am trying to achieve. 

I love shape and form and find the shapes and shadows of the Downs fascinating. The ever changing light and how it affects the landscape and seascapes around us inspires me still further.  I spend much of my time studying the sky and exploring how to represent the dramatic atmosphere that the different light and cloud formation conjures up.
