October:

Jewellery Exhibition
8-30 October

We are welcoming back to the Gallery Lindfield-based jewellery designer, Debbie Smith and her talented band of artisans for a three-week exhibition of their hand-crafted, contemporary range of sterling silver jewellery. We would be delighted if you could join us for a glass of bubbly on Saturday 8 October between 12 and 2 to mark the launch, when you will also be able to chat to the makers.

The Exhibition runs through to the end of October, and covers half term week (22-30 October) when Borde Hill Garden will again be open for its usual children's Hallowe'en festivities

July:
Saturday, 16 July
10:00 - 3:00
Tutor: Victoria Lovell
Cost: £45 per person

Currently, this textile technique is experiencing a revival as it utilizes some the current issues of the time; it is economic, environmentally friendly and creative. Ragwork is made by using recycled materials such as old clothes, linens, fabrics and even plastic bags! It transforms these materials into useable art by using very simple techniques that can give new life to otherwise out of date and wasted textiles. This workshop includes lunch so please let us know of any special dietary requirements.

June:
Silk Painting
Thursday, 9 June
10:00 -1:00
Tutor: Victoria Lovell
Cost: £40 per person

The great thing about silk painting is that even if you are not a skilled draftsperson it does not matter, the colour and flow of the paint on silk makes any picture look lovely. You can even throw random bits of colour at the silk and still get a lovely result! During this workshop you will be able to to make three pieces. You can choose from cushion covers, and scarves in various sizes.
